Switzerland

 

Switzerland is a landlocked located in the Western Europe region of Europe.  Switzerland borders France to the west, Italy to the south, Austria and Liechtenstein to the east and Germany to the north.  The conveniently central location of Switzerland and neutral status has made this country the center of banking for Western Europe.

 

 

With many international corporations headquartered in Switzerland for tax reasons, Switzerland has become a preferred meeting place for conventions and international conferences – Geneva, for instance, is home of the United Nations.


Switzerland is not only a place for professionals, it is a stylish tourist destination that offer’s some of the most beautiful, well-kept natural sites in the world.  Switzerland has some of the most enchanting, remarkably well preserved medieval villages in Northern Europe, whose character and charm suggest a style of life that slipped away many centuries ago.

 

 

From Lucerne with its covered bridge to Neuchatel and its fountains to Gruyeres with its cheese and Grimentz and traditional timber houses to the sgraffito-blazoned buildings of Engadine towns like Scuol and Zuoz, the beauty of this country is endless.

 

Switzerland’s location in the middle of the Alp’s allow’s it to offers some of the best skiing in the world, with top ski resorts like Zermatt and celebrity studded St Moritz attracting the most visitors.  The ancient capital of Bern also provides opportunities for visiting the natural attractions while also offering elegant shopping and great nightlife.

 

 

Of course you must visit the larger cities of Geneva and Zurich.  Lake Geneva is the more cosmopolitan of the two while and Zurich is filled with lots of things to see and do.  The best time to search for travel deals to Switzerland is in the spring before the summer travel searson begins.
