Punta Caracol Acqua Lodge

Situated just off Bocas del Toro on Panama’s Caribbean Coast and a short plane journey from Panama City, Punta Caracol offers a unique eco-lodge experience. The eight exclusive cabins are built on stilts over the Caribbean Sea, and connected by wooden stilted walkways. Each is two storeys with a large wooden bed and a pretty en-suite shower room. Large private terraces are perfect for soaking up the sun with a good book.

Snorkelling here is fabulous in the clear, turquoise sea and you can also explore the many islands of the archipelago. Take a jungle, Indian village or birdwatching tour, or spot the scarlet red frogs – native only to Bocas on a nature walk.

Master Suite – Exclusive octagon design with 100 m2 of interior space, and over 60 m2 of outer terraces, it has side terraces and another terrace in the upper level, which gives it spectacular panoramic views. King bed in the upper room, and four twin (individual) beds in the lower room.

Suites – consist of two stories that together provide 50 m 2 of interior surface and 25 m 2 in its terraces, in addition to a platform at the water’s surface with stairs to access the green, crystal clear waters surrounding it. The king size bed is located in the upper room, from where you can enjoy an incredible view of the bay through an ingenious window through the palm roof.

You can snorkel as well as swim from your private terrace or from the solarium of the bar.
Boat tours to nearby beautiful beaches, keys, rivers and small barren islands, where you will observe a great diversity of flora and fauna.

At the Acqua-Lodge, you can snorkel or row in a typical cayuco (canoe) in the one mile of coral lined on which Punta Caracol is situated.

You can choose from a fascinating selection of day tours- visit the numerous islands of the spectacular Bocas del Toro archipelago, ford rainforest rivers, visit native Indian villages, observe a variety of majestic sea birds at flight as well as the fascinating creatures of our luxuriant rainforests like the cute sloth and the scarlet red frogs-native only to Bocas.
